It is a live-hosted wheel game show from Pragmatic Play Live. A host spins a large wheel, and where it stops decides whether a round pays a straight number bet immediately or moves into a bonus mini-game. The bet grid. Eight spots sit under or beside the video: 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, Totem1, Totem2, Board3 and Board5. A chip selector and standard controls, undo, double, rebet, sit alongside it.

How does a Snakes & Ladders Live round play out?

The sequence is fixed and does not vary round to round:

1. Betting opens as soon as the previous round settles, and a countdown shows how long the window stays open.
2. Chips are placed on any of the eight spots, numbers or bonus sectors, before the countdown reaches zero.
3. The host spins the wheel, and it slows to a stop on one sector.
4. If a number sector wins, bets on it are paid face value plus stake back; all other bets lose.
5. If a bonus sector wins, only bets on that specific sector (Totem1, Totem2, Board3 or Board5) take part in the mini-game that follows.
6. The Totem climb or board walk plays out on screen and resolves into a single multiplier.
7. Winning bets on the bonus sector are paid that multiplier; other bets, including bets on the other bonus sectors, lose.
8. Balances update and the countdown for the next round begins within a few seconds.

Our sample shows this cycle running at roughly 57 rounds per hour, which lines up with a round taking a little more than a minute on average, longer when a bonus mini-game plays out.

The wheel's exact segment counts, how many pockets carry each of these eight outcomes, are not published by Pragmatic and secondary review sites do not agree with each other, so this table intentionally leaves out a "chance per spin" column rather than print an unverified number. What we can report instead is what actually happened in our sample: of 4,369 rounds, 1x landed 1,867 times, 2x 911 times, 5x 565 times, 10x 297 times, Totem1 319 times, Board3 184 times, Totem2 160 times, and Board5 66 times.

How do the Totem and board bonuses actually resolve?

Totem1 and Totem2 both trigger the Snake Totem bonus, where a token climbs a vertical structure and the level it reaches sets the final multiplier. The two differ by tier, roughly a "1 life" and "2 lives" version of the climb, and reviews describe the 2-lives version as giving the climb more room to continue. The exact number of levels on the totem is not confirmed by any source we could verify. In our sample, Totem1 hits paid smaller multipliers on average than Totem2 hits, consistent with that difference, though 319 and 160 hits respectively is still too early a sample to call that a rule.

Board3 and Board5 trigger the Snakes & Ladders board bonus, an 8x8 grid where ladders move the token forward, snakes move it back, and a roll of 6 grants an extra roll rather than ending the turn. Board3 gives a 3-roll allowance and Board5 a 5-roll allowance, based on how the sectors are named; each tile carries its own prize or multiplier, and whatever the token lands on when the rolls run out is the payout. Which mistakes catch new players out?

Assuming the bonus sectors pay like the numbers. Totem and board bets do not have a fixed payout; the mini-game decides the multiplier, which can be small or, based on the top result in our sample so far (240.00x on Board3), considerably larger than any straight number bet.

Expecting a published odds table. Unlike some of Pragmatic's other wheel games, Snakes & Ladders Live's segment layout is not confirmed anywhere, so treat any site claiming exact percentages for this wheel with some skepticism unless it cites a Pragmatic source.

Chasing Board5. It has landed the least of the four bonus sectors so far, 66 times in 4,369 rounds against Totem1's 319. That gap is still an early-sample pattern, not proof the sector is rare or "due," and betting more on it because it lands less often changes nothing about the next spin.

Confusing this game with the older dice version. Reviews and RTP figures still circulating online often describe the original 2023 dice format with four symbol dice, not the wheel format live today. The rules on this page match what our collector actually reads from the current feed.
